Tax Agent is a research tool for accountants, tax preparers, and law firms. Ask about a code section or a topic. It searches a private library of tax code and related material and returns the relevant passages word for word, each with a citation.
How it works
Ask about a specific provision and Tax Agent answers in two parts. First, a short plain-language summary drawn only from the provision text it retrieved. Second, the retrieved passages that cite or apply that provision, quoted word for word with a note on where each comes from, most relevant first.
For broader questions it skips the summary and returns the relevant passages directly. It is built to show you the source text, not to reach conclusions for you.

Word-for-word citations
Passages are quoted as written, numbered, and grouped by relevance, so you can see exactly what the source says.
Meaning and keyword search
Meaning-based search finds related material even when the wording differs. Keyword search catches exact section numbers and defined terms. Results from both are combined.
How your data is handled
- Private indexing. The research library is indexed on private hardware run by Team I.T., not a public cloud AI service.
- Only what the question needs. To answer a question, only the passages it retrieves are sent to Anthropic’s Claude, with zero data retention.
- Sign-in required. Only signed-in users can run searches.
