Knowledge Agent is a research assistant for your firm’s email archives and document library. Ask a question in plain English. It finds the most relevant emails and documents and drafts an answer that cites each source, so you can open the original and check it.
How it works
Team I.T. loads your Outlook archives and document library, splits each email and document into searchable passages, and indexes them. Every email passage keeps its subject, sender, date, and recipients, so a result always shows where it came from.
When you ask a question, Knowledge Agent runs a meaning-based search and an exact-keyword search together, combines the results, and passes the best passages to Claude to draft an answer. The answer cites its sources by number.

Cited answers
Each answer lists the emails and documents it draws on, with subject, sender, and date, so it can be checked against the original.
Meaning and keyword search
Meaning-based search finds related material even when the wording differs. Keyword search catches exact names, numbers, and terms. Results from both are combined.
Outlook email archives
Reads Outlook archive files and saved messages, keeping sender, recipients, date, and subject with every message.
Your document library
Word documents, PDFs, and text files are indexed alongside email and searched together.
Browser chat interface
Your team asks questions and reads answers from a web browser. There is nothing to install on their computers.
How your data is handled
- Private indexing. Your archive is indexed on private hardware run by Team I.T., not a public cloud AI service.
- Only what the question needs. To answer a question, only the passages it retrieves are sent to Anthropic’s Claude, with zero data retention.
