OpusConvert for BMW Motorrad dealers
BMW’s new OPUS parts ordering portal takes uploads through its own Excel template, but Lightspeed EVO still exports BMW parts orders as LSBMW.TXT. OpusConvert fills the OPUS template from that file, so your parts department uploads the whole order instead of retyping it line by line.
$20 per dealership, one time

Comments are trimmed to OPUS’s 20-character limit, with repair-order comments shortened first so the RO number survives. Storage bins are trimmed to 10 characters, with a warning.
Flags quantities outside 1 to 9999, part numbers that aren’t 7 or 11 characters, and orders over the template’s 999 lines, before anything reaches OPUS.
OpusConvert makes no network connections. Your parts orders stay on your PC until you upload them to OPUS yourself.
Runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 using the PowerShell built into Windows. There is nothing else to install.
OpusConvert fills the template you download from OPUS. When BMW updates it, save the new copy in the OpusConvert folder.

The download also includes a README.txt with the same steps.
It reads the BMW parts order file that Lightspeed EVO creates (LSBMW.TXT), fills in BMW's OPUS Excel upload template, and saves the result as a new file named after the Lightspeed PO number, ready to drag into OPUS.

No. OpusConvert builds the upload file itself, using the PowerShell that comes with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
No. It runs entirely on your PC and makes no network connections. The order leaves your PC only when you upload the file to OPUS yourself.
Download Opus_Upload_Template.xlsm from the OPUS parts portal and save it in the OpusConvert folder. It is BMW's file, so it is not included in the download. If BMW updates the template, save the new copy into the same folder.
It stops with an error if a quantity is not a whole number from 1 to 9999 or the order has more than 999 lines. It warns when a part number is not 7 or 11 characters or a storage bin has to be shortened. Read any warnings before uploading.
No. Choose the order type (stock, emergency, and so on) in OPUS when you upload. OpusConvert shows the order type from Lightspeed so you can match it. The VIN column is left blank because Lightspeed does not export it.
Windows is blocking files downloaded from the internet. Right-click OpusConvert.bat, choose Properties, tick Unblock, and click OK, then do the same for OpusConvert.ps1. Unblocking the zip before extracting it avoids this. Changing the PowerShell execution policy does not fix it.
