StationGuard from Team I.T.
StationGuard is a shared-workstation PIN sign-in and kiosk lock system for point-of-sale and other shared terminals. It identifies who is at the terminal by PIN, records their session, and re-locks automatically when they step away.
One shared Windows or Linux desktop session runs underneath. StationGuard sits on top of it: staff sign in with a 4–8 digit PIN, StationGuard records when each person’s session starts and ends, and the station re-locks after about 25 seconds idle.
Everyone keeps sharing one desktop session. StationGuard’s job is knowing who is standing at the terminal right now, and making that gate hard to bypass.
What StationGuard does, across one site or many.
Sub-second user switching on a shared terminal with a 4–8 digit PIN. A configurable idle timeout (25 seconds by default) re-locks the station automatically.
See who was on which workstation and for how long, recorded centrally.
A browser admin console for users, PINs, sessions, and workstations across every site.
Disable or lock out a terminal from the console. A locked-out station turns red and accepts only an admin PIN.
Restrict which applications a user can launch, by group, instead of handing them a desktop.
Shell replacement, keyboard-bypass blocking, and AppLocker policy, so the PIN gate can’t be walked around. Terminals also self-update unattended in the field.
