Team IT ERPNext Migration Utility · Effective 30 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Team I.T. LLC (“Team IT”, “we”, “us”) handles data accessed through the Team IT ERPNext Migration Utility (the “Utility”) when we perform a QuickBooks Online (“QBO”) to ERPNext migration for a client (“Customer”, “you”).

The Utility is a consultant-operated, internal migration tool. It is not a public application. It accesses a Customer’s QuickBooks Online company only after the Customer explicitly authorizes access through Intuit’s standard OAuth consent screen, and only for the purpose of migrating that Customer’s accounting data into ERPNext.

1. Data we access from QuickBooks Online

With the Customer’s authorization, the Utility reads accounting records needed to reproduce the Customer’s books in ERPNext. Depending on the engagement, this includes:

The Utility requests read access to accounting data. It does not post, alter, or delete records in the Customer’s QuickBooks Online company.

2. How we use the data

Data accessed through the Utility is used only to:

We do not use the data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

3. Authorization

Data is accessed only with the Customer’s authorization, granted through the Intuit / QuickBooks Online connection consent flow. The Customer, or a person the Customer has authorized, initiates and approves the connection.

4. Storage and retention

To carry out and verify a migration, data may be stored temporarily in Team IT-controlled systems, such as staging databases, migration workspaces, secured file storage, and backups. Data is retained only as long as needed for the migration, reconciliation, and a reasonable post-migration support window, and is then deleted or archived in encrypted, access-controlled storage in accordance with the engagement agreement.

5. Transfer to ERPNext

The purpose of the Utility is to move accounting data into ERPNext. Migrated data may be transferred to ERPNext systems controlled by Team IT (for example a hosted instance Team IT operates for the Customer) or to ERPNext systems controlled by the Customer, as agreed for the engagement.

6. Access controls

Access to Customer data handled by the Utility is limited to authorized Team IT personnel who are working on the migration. Credentials and access tokens are stored securely, and access to migration systems is restricted and logged.

7. Your choices and rights

8. Data security

Team IT uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data accessed through the Utility, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and secured infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect Customer data throughout the engagement.

9. Hosting

The Utility and its supporting systems run on Team IT-controlled infrastructure located in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Utility or our practices change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
